Hair Removal Waxing Pre and Post Care
WAXING CONTRAINDICATIONS
Consult your doctor before having waxing services if you have:
• Diabetes
• Hemophilia
• Contagious Skin Conditions
• Accutane must be OFF for 1 year
Retinol / Chemical Exfoliants must be off for minimal of 2 weeks around and on area of service
• Blood Thinners
PRE-CARE:
1)HAIR GROWTH
Approximately 2 weeks after shaving or epilating of the area, ideal hair length for waxing 3/4 inch (1.91cm)
2)TRIM
Please Trim or grow your body hair to to 3/4 inch (1.91cm) optimal length of hair removal from the root
We do not do body hair trimming for safety reasons
3)EXFOLIATE
Removal of dead skin 1-2 days prior to appointment for a more thorough and painless wax
4)PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF PERSONAL HYGIENE PRIOR TO BRAZILIAN AREA APPOINTMENT
5) NUMBING CREAM
Feeling a little nervous for the first wax is completely normal, to get through with ease. We recommend applying Zensa Numbing Cream at home, 30-40 mins prior to your appointment to be in effect.
AFTER CARE:
DON’T
• Go into the sun, use tanning beds, have sex or exercise for 24 hours
• Use steam rooms / saunas or anything heat related for 24 hours
• Avoid activities that may cause excessive sweating , sweat can cause bacteria to get into open pores after hair removal
• Wear overly tight panties or clothing; the friction can cause sensitivities
DO
First 48 hours, finish off shower or face wash with COLD water to minimize open pores , this helps to reduce possibility of pores clogging, blemishes or red bumps and bacterial infection from sweat and facial/body products.
• After 48 hours, gently exfoliate opposite direction of hair growth to prevent ingrown hairs
•Exfoliate often to prevent ingrown hair
• Re-book your appointment approximately every 4-6 weeks depending on your hair cycle
